Jan Lower: Hi, my name is Jan Lower. It's a name originally German, and in Germany, it's spelled L-A-U-E-R, but when my family, many, many years ago, came to America from Germany, the name was changed in its spelling to reflect much more of an English bent. So, Lower, rhymes with flower, is an easy way to remember it.
