Carolyn MacCullough: Hello, my name is Carolyn MacCullough. My last name seems to be incredibly difficult for people to spell and pronounce. I was always interested in the meaning of names, so when I was a little kid I found out that my last name, MacCullough, meant "son of the lake" in an ancient Scottish language, which I really liked. However, as I grew up I found out that was not the case. I was mistaken, and it actually meant "wild boar" as in wild pig. Personally, I prefer "son of the lake".
