Sara Zarr: Hello. My name is Sara Zarr. The name Zarr is a variation of Saar, S-A-A-R, which is the name of a river and a region that runs through Eastern France and Western Germany. My dad's dad's family came from that area a long time ago.

I've always loved my name. I think it's pretty cool and easy to remember, easy to spell, easy to pronounce. The only thing is it always makes me laugh for anything that's done in alphabetical order, including bookshelves at schools and libraries and bookstores.
