Y.S. Lee: Hi, my name is Y. S. Lee. It's an unusual name to use on books because it's actually the initials of my first and middle names. I do this for a couple of reasons. First, when my grandfather was alive, he also used his initials and I wanted to honor him this way. Second, my first name is Ying, and it's a super common name. So is my last name, Lee. Being called Ying Lee in Chinese is like being called Chris Smith in English. So on my books, I'm always Y. S. Lee, but my friends call me Ying and I hope you do too.
