Mylène Goupil: Hello, my name is Mylène Goupil. Living in Quebec, my first language is French, and so is my name. The Mylène part can be tricky for English-speaking people, and it often turns into Mylene. The Goupil part is easier, although a lot of people will pronounce the L at the end, making it Goupil. In my family, we prefer to say Goupil.

In old French, goupil was the word for fox up until the middle age, then it was replaced by the word Renard, after the famous book Le Roman de Renard. I don't know if I would say that I am as sly as a fox, but I really like my surname.
