K.L. Going: Hello. My name is K. L. Going. The K stands for Kelly and the L stands for Louise, which is my middle name, named after my grandmother. Going is a name that we believe was either Scottish or Irish, and we think that it was originally McGowan and that when my ancestors came over from Scotland or Ireland, they dropped the M-C and the name was Gowan. And then, that got Americanized to Going.
