Hattie Hearn: My name is Hattie Hearn. Hearn rhymes with learn, and I hope you'll learn from my history books. Hearn is an English surname which changed from Herron at some point in the medieval period. But Hearn is actually my husband's name, and my original surname is Mallahourn, which is confusingly similar to Hearn. Mallahourn, however, is an Irish name. And Hattie is short for Harriet. But no one ever calls me that unless I'm in trouble.
