Lynne Jonell: Hello, my name is Lynne Jonell and those two names are actually my first and my middle names. My first name, Lynne is spelled with an E on the end but this wasn't always the case. When I was born, the birth announcements went out and the spelling was L-Y-N-N. But then an aunt wrote back and said well, is it a boy or a girl, because Lynn without an E can be both a boy's and a girl's name. My mother was determined that no one would ever mistake me for a boy again, so she promptly changed the spelling on my birth certificate and Lynne has been spelled with an E ever since.
