Andy Musser: Hello. My name is Andy Chou Musser. I'm proud of my name because it's a mix of different cultures just like me. My middle name Chou is from my mom's side of the family. It's a name my grandparents brought to America when they immigrated from China. Musser is my last name. It's pronounced similar to the word mustard, and I'm told it originated in Germany. Family legend says my German ancestors used to live on swampland, and so the original German version of Musser meant something like person of the swamp. I have no idea this is true, but I love to imagine my old German relatives paddling around in swamps and building their houses on tall stilts.
