Sue Stauffacher: Hello. My name is Sue Stauffacher. My last name is German, and in Germany it's pronounced Schtau-ffa-her. But that kind of sounds like you're spitting, doesn't it? We American Stauffachers put in often and say Stauffacher.
People ask me what my name means in German, and I can't find that it means anything. Here in my home state of Michigan, I have been nicknamed Sue Start-Fire, because, you know what? I'm always igniting something.
