Alice McGinty: Hi, this is Alice B. McGinty, and people call me Alice. Some folks think it's short for Alison, but it's not. I'm named after my great grandmother, my mother's mother's mother, Alice. B is for Blumenthal, which is my maiden name. It's a German word that means valley of flowers. And McGinty was my married name, which I still use. And it's Scotch-Irish. Every name tells a story.
