Andrew Fukuda: Hello, my name is Andrew Fukuda. A good way to know how to say it is, Fukuda is F-O-O, foo, K-O-O, ku, dah, so Fukuda. If you look at the Japanese characters for Fukuda, it actually means happy field. So my name is actually Andrew happy field, if you understand Japanese. Growing up, I was the only Fukuda outside my immediate family I knew. And I thought it was a very unique name and that no one else in the world had it, outside my family. But after college I had the chance to live in Japan for a while and I soon quickly realized that Fukuda is one of the most common names in Japan. It's probably the equivalent of a Smith or a Johnson here. I thought I had a very unique name, but it turned out to be very commonplace in Japan.
