Nicola Davies: My name is Nicola Davies, and some people do have trouble pronouncing it. So, it's Nicola, I can't think of anything that rhymes with that, Davies, and in spite of the fact that it's spelled with an E, it's not Davees, it's Davies. It's a very, very common name in Wales.

All the names in my family are Welsh surnames.
I've got Morgans and Reeses and I now have a Jones because I married a Jones last year, but mostly I know about the Davies side of my family. Lots and lots of cousins, lots of great aunts, lots of uncles all over the place.

The only time that people do seem to have a real problem with my name is actually when I come to America.
I think Nicola must be quite an uncommon christian name in America. I get Nicoola, I get Nicole, people not quite sure what to do with the end of it. I don't mind really. I'll answer to almost anything.
