Stevie Lewis: My name is Stevie Lewis. It's not short for Stephanie, it's just Stevie. My dad was a big fan of Stevie Nicks, the singer and songwriter of Fleetwood Mac. My parents also both liked an androgynous name for a girl. I used to dislike my name because I would always get mistaken for a boy growing up. I had a science teacher who would always call me Steven just for fun. I didn't like that very much when I was a kid, but now I don't really care. My freshman roommate in college even thought I was a boy and called the admissions office before school began to make sure she would have a girl as a dorm mate. But now I like my name and I'm proud to be called Stevie.
