I remember brainstorming in a chatroom with a lot of experienced writers who were all twice my age, and I felt starstruck and so grateful that they would even give me the time of day. When people ask me how I picked my pen name, I tell them I wanted three things. Number one, I wanted to keep my real initials. Number two, I wanted something gender-neutral. And, number three, I wanted something easily pronounceable because my real name definitely isn't.
