Alex Gino: Hi, my name is Alex Gino. My last name is Italian, Sicilian to be specific. It was always a joke in my family that it was probably one of those names that got lopped off at Ellis Island, because it's so short and so many of the other Italian names in my family were so long. Many, many syllables, ending in -ellis and -inardos and things, and this is just Gino. Four letters and done. But, it turns out that I met someone who's from Sicily, and Gino is, in fact, a legitimate last name there, so that apparently probably was my whole last name, and it wasn't cut off, so that's my little story about my name.
