Phyllis Reynolds Naylor: Hello, my name is Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. Someone recently pointed out that the third letter of all three words is a "y." When I got married, I thought that Naylor was an even easier name to spell than Reynolds, but I was wrong. People often spell it with an "m" instead of an "n," or they spell Naylor N-A-I-L-E-R, like a person who pounds nails or makes nails. And, who knows, maybe that's the way the name began, with a carpenter.
