Susan Vaught: Hello, my name is Susan Vaught. I wasn't born with the name Vaught, I was actually born Irah. But my father died when I was young and I was later adopted by my stepfather John Vaught. The Vaught name is mostly German in origin and it is related to being a lawyer, or judge, or sheriff, or military commander, which is kind of funny because my grandfather was a football coach. And I guess it could fit in any of those categories. It's most often mispronounced as vault, like bank vault, or bought like you bought something at the store. But really it rhymes with the words thought, like I thought about.
