Joy Crysdale: Hello, my name is Joy Crysdale. In my father's family history, there are Crysdales in Ireland and the United States. The name Crysdale can also be found in parts of England. I also have a great grandmother on my father's side from the island of Jersey. I'd love to visit there someday. My mother's parents came from Lancashire, England, so I have some British in me from both sides. My first name on official documents is actually Margaret, because I'm named for her mother, Margaret Bridge, but I've always been called by my middle name, Joy. Although I was married at one time, I kept my last name, Crysdale, because it just felt too strange to have somebody else's last name. And I can tell you, I'm very glad I did.
