Lizzy Rockwell: Hello. My name is Lizzy Rockwell.

I spell Lizzy with a "y" at the end, but it can be spelled with an "ie." I was born with the name Elizabeth Anne Rockwell, but my mother says before we even left the hospital, everyone was calling me Lizzy. Some people grow out of their childhood nickname, but mine just stuck. Even though I'm married to Mr. Alcorn, I kept the name Rockwell for my work. My parents, Anne Rockwell and Harlow Rockwell, are both children's book illustrators, and my mom is also a writer. We've done many books together. So I'm happy to be associated with the Rockwell tradition in picture books, so I use the name Lizzy Rockwell.
