Marilyn Helmer: Hello everyone. My name is Marilyn Helmer. When I was born, my parents were very generous with names. I was christened, Marilyn Elizabeth Grace. Marilyn because it was my mother's favorite name, Elizabeth because it was my father's favorite name, and Grace because I was born in the Grace Hospital in St. John's Newfoundland.

Add my last name, LaSay to that and you have quite a mouthful. When I got married, my last name changed to Helmer, which is actually one letter longer than my maiden name was. When I became a published author, I realized that my full name took up so much space, there would be very little room left for the title of my books, and so I became simply Marilyn Helmer. So, if you're looking for my books, that is the only name you need to know.
