Jennifer LaRue Huget: Hello. My name is Jennifer Larue Huget. That's kind of a mouthful, isn't it? When I was growing up, I went by Jenni Larue. I dotted the I with a peace sign. Larue is French. It means the street. I don't know of any French people in my ancestry though.

When I was born, my dad was a high school teacher. His students thought he should name me Renee, but Renee Larue sounded too exotic for my parents' taste so I became Jennifer.

When I grew up and got married, I took my husband's last name. It is pronounced just the way it is spelled, Huget. But people try to make it fancy Hu-shay or even oo-shay. But it's just plain Huget. And I am just plain Jennifer Larue Huget.
