Kenn Nesbitt: Hello, my name is Kenn Nesbitt. Kenn is spelled with two Ns and Nesbitt is spelled with two Ts.
My last name, Nesbitt, is Scottish and it comes from an ancient family known as Clan Nesbitt. People will often ask me why Kenn is spelled with two Ns instead of just one. Well, when I was born, my given name was Owen Kenneth Glenn Nesbitt.
The Owen Kenneth were because my father wanted my initials to be OK. The Glenn was because I was born on the day that the astronaut, John Glenn, became the first person to orbit the Earth in a spacecraft.
Now, Kenneth was always my favorite of the three names. As a boy, I went by Kenny and my nickname was OK. When I got to high school, I simply removed the Y from Kenny and went by Kenn. Kenny has two Ns, so why shouldn't Kenn? At least, that's the way I figured it.
Now, when I got married, I took my wife's maiden name as my middle name and I dropped the Owen and the Glenn altogether, as well as the ETH on Kenneth. So, now, my full name is Kenn Alword Nesbitt. I still answer to OK whenever anyone calls me that.
