Pat Schories: Hello. My name is Pat Schories. When I was born, I was given the name Patricia Lynn Schories. my family called me Patty. My friends gave me nicknames like Hamburger Patty and Peppermint Patty. When I got older, I decided I wanted to sound more mature, so I started introducing myself as Pat instead of Patty, and that is what most people call me now. That is all except my family. They still call my Patty.

I like my name, Pat Schories. When I was a little girl, I used to worry that when I got married I would have to change it, and I simply couldn't imagine myself with another name. By the time I did get married, it was socially acceptable for women to keep their own names, so I did. I am still Pat Schories.
