Rachel Vail: Hello, my name is Rachel Vail. I hated my name when I was a kid, I thought Rachel sounded like a sneeze. But, I realized when I said it so fast, it sounded worse, so I tried to slow it down, but it was hard because I sort of say, "Hi, my name is Rachel Vail," all in a big rush. People wouldn't have time to hear all three syllables of my name. Or sometimes I would say it as a question, "Hi, I'm Rachel Vail?" like I wasn't sure, but I am sure. And I got some good advice from a teacher one time who said, "After your name, you should say a silent, "Darn it." You should say it like, "Hello, my name is Rachel Vail, Darn it,"" so now I say it like that, but with the darn it silent.
