Sherry Shahan: Hello. My name is Sherry Shahan. I think that's a great name for an author because of the alliteration, meaning the SH in Sherry is the same as the SH in Shahan. A lot of my relatives say the Shahan family originated in Ireland, but I've never been to Ireland. I was born and raised in California. I also heard that Shahan is the Persian word for king, but even though I'm a woman, I would like to be king if only for one day.
