Diane Anton Sherrouse: Hello. My name is Diane Anton Sherrouse. Sherrouse rhymes with house, and is the name of my husband's family from Alsace-Lorraine in France. My grandfather chose my first name because he loved the song Smile for Me My Diane. We sang it together often, and it always made me smile.

Mother chose Elaine as my middle name, but I use my maiden name of Anton when I write. Since I was always the smallest person in my class, my dad called me Skeeter. Little children and big men from Texas where I grew up call me Miss Diane. My family now calls me D, which I think sounds friendly, so please call me D, even though you know how to pronounce Diane Anton Sherrouse.
