David Davis: Hello, my name is David Davis. I live in Texas, and I'm a fifth-generation Texan. My first name and my last name both mean "beloved." I was named after my father. My grandfather and mom loved the character in the Bible named David. When I got to school, some of my teachers didn't necessarily think I was beloved, because I would get in trouble for drawing comics and writing funny things when I was supposed to be doing my arithmetic. And not only that, one time I wasn't very beloved, because I put hot sauce on my brother's marshmallow cookies.
