Kristen Chandler: Hello. My name is Kristen Chandler. Chandler is an English name which means candle maker or seller. I don't actually make candles, although my mom did teach me once as some sort of a family craft project. I like to think that being a writer is kind of like being a candle maker although I really hope you don't light my books on fire. My first name is Kristen, and I think that having the name Kristen has had a big influence on me, because for some reason that name was really popular in the west where I was primarily raised. So, everyone seemed to say it or spell it differently than I did, and after a while I got used to answering to anything Kirsten, Christine, Christi, Krista, et cetera.
