R.J. Anderson: Hello, my name is R. J. Anderson. That's my initials and my maiden name, because my married name is German and a little bit hard to pronounce. I had always written as R. J. Anderson as a kid and it was sort of how I wanted to be published, so that's what I went with.

I didn't choose my initials, because I was trying to make people think I was a man. I chose to use my initials, because I grew up reading C. S. Lewis, and J. R. R Tolkien, and G. K. Chesterton, and a lot of other authors with initials.

I just thought initials sounded more writerly, so when I started writing in my teens I started as R. J. Anderson and I continue to write as R. J. Anderson today.
