Leah Cypess: Hello. My name is Leah Cypess. That's C-Y-P-E-S-S, no R. Not like the cypress tree, even though it sounds a lot like it and everyone, including my publisher, spells it wrong sometimes. The name actually comes from somewhere completely different. It's a variation of Cypes, which is the Yiddish version of the Hebrew name Zipporah, which means bird.
