Lesley Fairfield: Hello, my name is Lesley Fairfield. My middle name is Rae after my grandmother who always made perfect toast. The French version of my last name is bon champ, fair field. During the American Revolution, my great, great, great, and I think there's another great or two, grandfather, William Fairfield ran away from Pawlet, Vermont during the American Revolution because he wanted to stay under British rule. So he came to Canada, and that's why I live in Canada now. He built a big house because he had ten sons, who all became Jessup's Rangers and joined him in raids across the American border. I do apologize. No one in the Fairfield family has disagreed with Americans ever since. In fact, we like you very much. Au revoir.
