Gordon Morrison: Hello. My name is Gordon Morrison. I was named after my father's brother, Gordon Jay Morrison. His middle name was Jay, spelled J-A-Y and pronounced just like the letter J. When, as a baby, I was to be baptized, the priest told my parents they could not use the middle name Jay. They had to use the name of a saint. Reluctantly, they chose Joseph. At least my uncle and I would share the same middle initial.

As it turned out, I never write my name in full, and rarely use the middle initial. So we do share the same name, Gordon Morrison, occasionally with the middle initial J.
