Dianne Danzig: Hello, my name is Dianne Danzig. Dianne, D-I-A-N-N-E Danzig, D-A-N-Z-I-G. That's D like dog, A like alligator, N like nightingale, Z like zebra, I like iguana, and G like giraffe. So, my name is not Dancing, or Danzing. And it's not Dansick or Danzic. It's Danzig. When my husband's grandparents immigrated from Russia to the United States in 1915, the guards at Ellis Island in New York made his grandparents change their Russian last name to an easier name to pronounce. They chose Danzig. And almost 100 years later, that is still our family's name.
