Mary Manz Simon: Hello. I'm Dr. Mary Manz Simon. You probably heard four words in my name. Doctor simply means I went to school for a very long time. I've always liked my first name, Mary. It reminds me of the mother of Jesus. The Manz in my name, M-A-N-Z, is actually my maiden name before I got married. I didn't want to give up the name I'd always had, so when I got married in 1974 I just added my married name, Simon, like Simple Simon. That's how I got to be Dr. Mary Manz Simon.
