Cynthia Weill: Hello, my name is Cynthia Weill. Weill, the best way to remember that is think, "In a while," or "Wait a while." My first name is Cynthia, but please call me Cindy. Even as an adult, when I hear Cynthia, I think I'm in trouble.

Weill is an Alsatian name. Alsace, Lorraine is a province in France. My ancestors emigrated to the United States in the 1870s, and they moved to New York City, and I'm proud to say that I still live very close to where they lived on West End Avenue, 100 years later.
