Anita Silvey: Hello. My name is Anita Silvey, and there have been Silveys in the United States, family legend has it, before the Revolutionary War in Virginia, but I've never found them. The first Silvey I ever located, his name was William and he was born about 1780 and came with a group of pioneers to southern Ohio. When I went to visit my grandmother Silvey in Oak Hill, Ohio, she would point to one person after another after another and tell me how we were related and it seemed to me we were related to almost everyone in the town. Many years later, when I looked at the 1850 census of that particular area, in fact I was related to almost everyone who lived around there.
