Staton Rabin: Hello, my name is Staton Rabin. S-T-A-T-O-N R-A-B-I-N. When I was a little girl, my father's fishing buddy used to call me Grand Central Staton. That'll remind you how to pronounce my name. My family's story kept changing whenever I asked them, "Where did my name come from?" They're a family of storytellers. They're all writers. Our family, back in Romanian, had originally come from Russia. And when I was born, my grandmother said that it might be a nice idea to name the baby after the family back in Russia, long, long, long ago. And the family name at that time was Statonofsky, and they were going to name me Staton, even if I'd been a boy.
