Victoria Forester: Hello, my name is Victoria Forester. When my mother was pregnant with me, she was convinced that I was a boy, and the name they had chosen for me was Conrad. So, after I arrived and was not a boy, it took several days for my parents to get over the surprise and think up another name.

In the end, it was my father who picked the name Victoria, but I was called Vicky for the first fifteen years of my life which I never thought suited me. So, at university, I made sure that when I met anyone new, I'd introduce myself as Victoria, and that's what I've been called ever since.

I love the name Victoria. The Latin origin, of course, being victory. I think that it's nice to have such power in your name. Words are very important to me, and I'm glad that the word that I'm called by has such positive energy.

As for my last name, Forester, that is very, very, new for me. My husband and I just had our first child, and it was important to me that we all had a shared family name so I took his last name. Like Victoria, Forester is also an English name and has a powerful meaning. Forester means protector or forest guardian, and that's how I became Victoria Forester.
