Bill Thomson: Hello, my name is Bill Thomson. My real name is William Frank Thomson, but I was called Billy as a boy. I was the fifth William Thomson in my family. For five generations the eldest boy was named William, but except for my grandfather and me, all had different middle names.

I was named after my grandfather who died when my father was just a boy. My last name is Thomson for my ancestors from Scotland. People usually try to misspell my last name using a P, but it's T-H-O-M-S-O-N. People have always misspelled my last name, and I'm sure they always will.
