Patricia Newman: Hello, my name is Patricia Newman. I'm an Italian American, but you might notice that neither of my names sound Italian. That's because Newman is my husband's last name, a gift he gave me when I married him. He comes from English and Irish stock, with a little eastern European thrown in. Although my parents named me Patricia, they always called me Patty. They still do, and so do my friends. My Italian grandfathers called me Pasquelina, and loved to pinch my cheek. By the way, I love to eat pasta.
