Mason Stokes: Hi, my name is Mason Stokes and I'm named after my Uncle Mason. And I was born a long time ago when that name was pretty rare, and I loved the rarity of it. I was one of the only Masons I ever knew. I discovered recently, within the past five years or so, Mason has become one of the more popular boys names. And I'm starting to run into teenagers named Mason, and a part of me loves that. "Oh, there are more Masons in the world." But I'll confess, I really miss being the only Mason, a certain kind of rare name. I was a second son. My brother was named after my father, whose name was Doug. It's a perfectly good name, but it's not that interesting. So, I was lucky to get my uncle's name. I feel like it was always a blessing. It's a pretty southern name. I'm from South Carolina, and so Mason Stokes is a rather southern name, but it's one I'm lucky to have.
