Lynnette Mawhinney: Hi, my name is Lynette Mawhinney. I really enjoy my name because it's unique. My first name, Lynette, is actually named after a linnet bird. It's a type of bird and it's a French name. But my name is actually spelled with two Ns, L Y N N E T T E, which is a little unique. Most people like to spell it with one N.

My last name's Mawhinney.
I actually wasn't born with that last name. It was, like most families, my parents divorced when I was two and when that divorce happened, my mom gave me her maiden name. So Mawhinney is her maiden name. And I always tell people, because it's hard to pronounce my last name, the ending sounds like Winnie, like Winnie the Pooh.
