Jarod Rosello: Hello. My name's Jarod Rosello. Even though my first name is spelled with an O, I pronounce it just like Jared with an E, a name you've probably heard before. My mom said that she saw my name in the credits of a TV show and she really liked it, so that's how I got it.

My last name, Rosello, is a Catalan name from Catalonia in Spain. My family migrated from Spain to Cuba way before I was born. When I'm speaking to someone in Spanish, I actually say my last name as Rosello, but it's kind of hard for me even to pronounce the hard D sound at the end of my first name, Jarod, in English, followed by the rolling R of Rosello in Spanish together.

So depending on who I'm talking to or what I'm talking about, or even what mood I'm in, you might hear me pronounce my own last name as Ro-ZEL-o, Ro-say-OH or Rrro-say-OH, and I like all of them.
