Alysson Foti Bourque: Hello, my name is Alysson Foti Bourque. My parents couldn't decide whether to name me Alyssa or Alysson, so they decided on Alysson spelled similar to Alyssa. Funny enough, my twin sister's name is Lauren and those names don't rhyme at all. My middle name is actually my maiden name, Foti, which is Italian, kind of like photo, but it's Foti. My last name is Bourque, pronounced like cork and it's French. Some people call me Ally or Alycat, like the main character in my Alycat series, and the name Alycat was used in my series and my stories, as when I was in grade school, I would stare off into space and daydream about writing stories. And my teacher would snap and say, "Alycat, come back down to earth." So, that's that.
