I tell kids that my name sounds like smile with a K, and when I picked the name Kyle, I mostly picked it because every kid named Kyle that I knew in high school was very tall and very blonde and very athletic, and I'm none of the above, and it felt really funny to choose a name that was the opposite of how I saw myself. But now it works for me.
