Jackie Azúa Kramer: Hello, my name is Jackie Azúa Kramer. Azúa is my father's side of the family, which come from the northern part of Spain which is called the Basque region. And there they speak one of the oldest languages in Europe called Basque. So actually, if you were to say my name before my ancestors came to America, it would have been Jacqueline Yvonne (spelled with a 'Y') de la Azúa. De la means 'of the family of' Azúa which was a region in Spain where most of my family, the descendants, lived. And the Azúa part almost sounds like you have a lisp. And there's an accent mark over the 'u.' Jacqueline is my whole name, but it has 11 letters is in, J-A-C-Q-U-E-L-I-N-E, and so I simplified that and now I'm Jackie. The Kramer is my married name, and I chose to honor, as an author, my ancestry by keeping the Azúa part. So my name is now Jackie Azúa Kramer.
