Aleesah Darlison: Hello. My name is Aleesah Darlison. That's Aleesah spelt A-L-double E-S-A-H. It's pronounced Aleesah, not Alisha, as some people like to do.

As you can probably tell from my accent, I'm Australian, born and bred, and my family has lived here for many generations. Like most Aussies, I'm a descendant of a healthy mix of nationalities, including English, Welsh, Italian, Chinese, and well, Australian for many, many years.

The name Aleesah doesn't come from anywhere in particular. There are many different versions of my name, and you can spell it in many different ways. The way my name is spelled in particular was chosen by my parents, and I quite like it, which is probably a good thing.

My last name, Darlison, is my married name. My husband's family come from Wales, and on his mom's side, England, so that's where the name Darlison originates from.
