Tony DiTerlizzi: Hello, my name is Tony DiTerlizzi. I can't even think of a word that rhymes with, maybe tease me, I don't know. DiTerlizzi is an Italian name. There's a capital T in it and a capital D so it actually is the name of a small village, D meaning from and Terlizzi being the name of the village. I'm not an Anthony, I'm actually a Tony named after my father, and my middle name is Michael, which is one of my dad's friends from the Vietnam war. And interestingly his son's name is Michael Anthony after my father, they were good buddies in the war.

I suffered a long and arduous life as a kid being completely teased and tormented by my name. Tony Bologna was one, Dizzalizzi they used to call me. There were quite a few funny names, but as I grew older I actually ended up like my name, it was kind of cool to be an artist and have an Italian sounding name because there were so many famous Italian artists that we all know like Leonardo da Vinci, or Michelangelo. So, as I grew older I actually really grew to kind of like my last name.
