As Martha Winstanley sets sail from the Liverpool docks on the Samual Pimsoll in the 1880, she is filled with foreboding. All alone and at the age of 12, she is being sent away from her home and family to live with an Aunt in Australia.Martha learns to cope with life at sea and the extraordinary events that surround her.
